Which data works for a chart?

Almost any table can be visualised – structure is what matters. “Long” tables work best, where each row is one record and the columns describe consistent attributes (e.g. date, category, value). One category column (such as “region” or “product”) and at least one value column (such as “revenue”) are enough for a meaningful chart.
